Two Students Awarded Scholarships at Victory 500

Victory Cheer & Tumble proudly awarded two local high school students with scholarships during its annual Victory 500 Cheer Competition, held on October 5, 2025, at the Gadsden State Arena.

Congratulations to the 2025 Scholarship Winners:

• Amari Ward, Oxford High School
• Addison Friedberg, Southside High School

Each student was awarded a $500 scholarship in recognition of their outstanding applications, highlighting their dedication to academics, leadership, and community involvement.

The Victory 500 is an exciting annual cheer competition that brings together cheerleading teams from across the region for a day of spirited performances, fun, and community celebration. This year’s event featured routines from local squads, a special performance and meet-and-greet with the Jacksonville State University Cheerleaders and mascot Cocky, and the much-anticipated scholarship announcement.

Founded in 2019 by Lexy Humphrey, Victory Cheer & Tumble is a family-owned gym located in Glencoe that has quickly become Etowah County’s premier destination for cheerleading, tumbling, and youth development. Offering programs from beginner through advanced tumbling (Level 6), All Star cheer, dance, ninja classes, gymnastics, camps, clinics, preschool, and even birthday parties, the gym provides opportunities for children, teens, and adults to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment.
