For four days, The Gadsden Museum of Art is excited to host the 2014 Southeastern Plein Air Festival. 15 professional artists from Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia will painting on location April 10 through 13. The artists will paint "en plein air" (outdoors, not in a studio) in a tradition that began with the French Impressionists over 150 years ago. The paintings that are created during this time will be on exhibit through May 2nd. Not only will these works of art be for sale, which will majorly contribute funding to the GMA, but you can watch the artists create these paintings.
