Hello!
April is Child Abuse Prevention month and we are encouraging our Etowah County community to support this very important awareness campaign.
Pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse. They represent the innocence, joy and playfulness of childhood.
We are asking each organization to support The James M. Barrie Center for Children by purchasing a Pinwheel Garden, a Pinwheel Flowerpot and/or a T-shirt.
We encourage your organization to have activities and events throughout the month of April to bring awareness to the issues of child abuse. For example, the entire staff could wear their
t-shirt on Fridays and post a picture on your social media platforms and tag The Barrie Center. Another possibility may be to engage children and others to “plant” their Pinwheel Garden in front of your organization.
The order form is attached and can be emailed to Robyn Phillips at robyn@barriecenter.org or you can go to our Facebook page and order online. Deadline for orders is March 22, 2024 and delivery will begin the first week of April.
Thank you for supporting The James M. Barrie Center for Children and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Sincerely,
Patricia Falcon, LICSW
