Neely Henry Lake Association Meeting

A meeting of the Neely Henry Lake Association will be held at 6:30PM Thursday, January 4th 2018 at the Rainbow City Community Center, 3702 Rainbow Drive. The guest speaker will be Dr. Scott Hassell of the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department. Scott will address a variety of topics relative to the responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Department as they pertain to the Neely Henry reservoir and the associated watershed. These will include: law enforcement issues encountered by the Sheriff’s Office Marine Division, rescue and emergency response, the work of their Environmental Issues Division, the Sheriff’s Office contribution to the success of “Renew our Rivers” and other law enforcement related issues.

In addition to the main program, information will be provided in the following areas:

• The status/schedule of the recently approved 2018 Neely Henry Lake “Maintenance Drawdown”.
• The status/schedule of the recently approved 2018 Neely Henry Lake “Economic Impact Study”.
• The status/schedule of the 2018 Neely Henry Lake “Fish Habitat Project”.
• Winter water and boating safety issues.
