• COMMITTEE & STUDENTS - RSVP as soon as possible. You must be on the roster to attend the Goodyear tour and we need to submit that roster no later than Thursday at 5 p.m.

Please note that we will be walking and in hot conditions at times.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, no dangling/hanging jewelry and comfortable clothing.

Shorts are allowed.

Please no dresses or skirts.

No photography will be allowed by students or committee during the plant tour.

Because of the secure nature of the Goodyear plant, there will be no opportunities for students to “drop in” at a later time or at any point during the day.

Please also note that we are leaving from the public parking lot promptly at 7:45 a.m. We will not wait for anyone that is late, and you will not be able to enter Goodyear if you are not on the transportation provided! This includes committee!

7:45    Leave public parking lot behind Blackstone Pub and Eatery (no one will be at The Chamber, be sure to go to the correct location!)

8:00    Arrive at Goodyear

8:15    Breakfast provided by Goodyear

8:45    Welcome by Mary Wood

9:10    Break

9:15    Goodyear presentation and facility tour  

11:20    Break

11:30    Travel to Gadsden Mall

11:45    Lunch provided by Gadsden Mall  

12:15    Break

12:30    Presentation by Carver Boynton, Gadsden Mall and Lesa Osborn, Gadsden Commercial   Development Authority

1:45    Travel to The Chamber

2:00    Angela Smith, Alabama Department of Commerce

3:00    Break

3:15     Presentation by Spencer Williams, Alabama Power

4:00    Break

4:15    Travel to Blackstone Pub and Eatery for presentation by Kay Moore, Downtown Gadsden Inc.
