Class 8: Arts and Culture
Objectives – After participation in Arts and Culture Day, participants should exhibit increased awareness of arts organizations in our community, engage in support for the arts through word of mouth, attendance at art events and fund raising support within their businesses, be able to identify examples of leadership within the arts community, gain a greater understanding of how a strong arts community increases the quality of life for Gadsden and Etowah County, and possibly chose to increase their leadership within the community by volunteering with an arts organization.
7:45 a.m. Meet at the Chamber to travel by GSCC vans to CCA

8:00 a.m. Cultural Arts Discussion and Tour – Bobby Welch
8:45 a.m. Downtown Dance- Linze McRae – Dance Class
9:05 a.m. Break
9:15 a.m. Gadsden Museum of Art – Ray Wetzel- Hands On Activity and Coffee Break
10:30 a.m. Gadsden Public Library Tour and Privilege Exercise
11:30 a.m. Lunch from Beautiful Rainbow and Gardening Lesson (Options Pimento Cheese Sandwich and veggie chips, Goat cheese tart with salad or Pimento cheese salad)
12:30 p.m. Carver Museum Tour- Claude Burnett
1:15 p.m. Etowah Youth Orchestra and Temple Beth Israel- Michael Gagliardo
1:45 p.m. Ritz Theater- Forrest Hinton
2:45 p.m. Gadsden State International Program Students- Becky Duckett
3:30 p.m. Characters Entertainment –Cody Carlton
4:15 p.m. Survey Time
4:30 p.m. Travel Back to Chamber
