GSCC Cardinal Foundation Swoop Sprint 5K
The Swoop Sprint 5k is a family friendly scholarship fundraiser hosted by the Gadsden State Cardinal Foundation and Gadsden State Community College. The event will take place on June 8, 2019, on the Wallace Drive campus of Gadsden State Community College (the only run on the campus of Gadsden State Community College). The purpose of the event is to raise money for student scholarships so students can attend one of the six campuses of GSCC.

• Entry Fees: Preregistration-$25, Race Day Registration-$30 (Gadsden Runners Club, Anniston Runners Club and Gadsden State students receive a $5 discount.) Those registered by May 31 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Awards: Cash Prizes (1-$100, 2-$50, 3-$25) awarded to the top 3 overall male and female 5k participants and $25 to the best for male and female Swoop sprinter. Medals awarded to top 3 in age group (excluding the overall winners). Age groupings are by 5-year increments: 0 -10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. • Other info: Walkers and strollers are welcome.
