Gadsden State Community College’s Office of Student Engagement is hosting its Top 10 Talent Show at 6:30 p.m. March 22 in the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
The Top 10 acts set to perform this year for a $200 first place prize include:
· Nick Adrian, a guitarist/vocalist from Rainbow City
· Dayo Akogun, Dashira Hampton and D’Azhanee Mitchell, vocalists from Gadsden
· Jeanette Henderson, a vocalist from Centre
· Jesse Ray Jennings, a guitarist/vocalist from Piedmont
· Whitney Johnson, a vocalist from Wedowee
· Conner Overholtzer, a pianist from Anniston
· Georges Marc Saint Eliard, a guitarist/Creole vocalist from Haiti (Attalla)
· Isaiah Taylor, a vocalist from Jacksonville
Several guest judges who are talented musicians and educators in their own right have volunteered to select the winners.
Jason Bozeman, an AP English teacher at Gadsden City High School, has more than 30 years of experience in theatre arts including work with The CharACTers, Inc. of Gadsden.
Shelby Cochran is a University of Alabama graduate with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. She is also a prominent pageant queen, recently competing in the Miss Alabama pageant as Miss Smiths Station.
Desmond Hubbard, a traveling gospel music artist, is the minister of music at New Life Christian Cathedral in Anniston. He serves as a director and music teacher for the Jacksonville State University Gospel choir.
